Newsletter - May 2020

Dear DOZ friends,

I hope this newsletter finds you doing well as we endure these challenging times facing us. What challenging times they are! However, isn’t it wonderful to know that our Lord is still on the throne and in total control? Many times in the last few weeks, I have been reminded of God’s Word to us, “Fear Not, I am with you!” What a comfort to know that God is right there by our side to help us through. Thank you, Lord!

Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised at the events that are happening around us because the Lord warned us in His Word that these times would come. “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this life you will have trials and tribulations, but take heart, for I have overcome the world.” Praise the Lord, He has overcome the world! All we have to do is rest in Him, receive His peace, and stay focused on His precious Word!

One of my favorite passages in the Word is found in Acts 28:1-5. Here Paul has been shipwrecked on Malta and is building a fire when a poisonous snake comes out of the fire and bites and attaches itself to him. And what does Paul do? He doesn’t panic and let fear overtake him…NO! He just simply shakes it off! Child of God, I think the Lord wants us to hear and receive from this. And what He has shown me is that no matter what the enemy throws at us, no matter how fearful it looks in the natural or impossible the situation, just trust Him and shake it off! Just shake it off! Refuse to allow the enemy to bring fear and doubt, instead, go to the Word of God and find a promise, and stand on that promise and watch God come through for you. Have faith in God’s Word that He has your best interest at heart. God is faithful and He will look over His Word to perform it for you.

The Lord would say to you today, “I am your ever-present help in time of trouble and I have come that you might have life and life more abundantly. When you go through the fire, you will not be burned, and when you go through the water, you will not drown for I will be with you and I will deliver you. I am your deliverer. Trust Me with all your heart and submit to Me and I will make your path straight. Fear not, but only believe.”

I would like to thank you for your support for DOZ. Because of you and your generous donations, we have been able to continue our monthly support to ministries around the world and to provide food for the people and our kids in Honduras. The Covid19 virus has made it extremely difficult in Honduras as they have no support from the government. They have been on total lock down and no way to get food to feed their families. But thanks to you, we have been able to get food to them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I love you all and pray that God will bless you abundantly above all that I can ask or think.
