Newsletter - June 2019

Dear DOZ friends,

It has been several months since my last newsletter and I pray that you are all doing well and enjoying the wonderful benefits of the Lord. As many of you know, January 1, my precious husband, Mark, went home to be with Jesus. He fought a good fight, he kept the faith and finished his race. Now, he is with his precious Lord and receiving his heavenly rewards. I miss him terribly, but I rejoice in knowing where he is and knowing we will be together again. What a glorious day that will be! But until then, I will strive to fulfill the calling that God has placed on my life and do the work set before me.

God has revealed so many wonderful truths to me in the last few months as I have sat broken before Him pouring out my heart. He has shown me how important it is to not let my circumstances control me, but to realize that God is in control even when things seem to be going amiss. I need to only trust Him. There were five things that the Lord spoke to my Spirit. I feel that many of you need to hear these today.

  • God will never stop loving you.
  • God has a plan for your life.
  • God cares about every detail of your life.
  • God is in control of all things even when you don't understand it.
  • God will protect you.

I really believe that we can base our lives on these five truths. The Lord told us that in this life we would have trials and tribulations but He also told us that He has overcome every one of those for us. So, no matter what you are going through or facing today, just know that God knows all about it and He will see you through. Many times in the last few months I have said to the Lord, “I can’t do this Lord, but I know that you can so I lay it at your feet. I know that you will take care of it for me because I am your child and you have promised to take care of everything thing that pertains to me.” And as a child of God, He will do the same for you…only trust Him!

I want to take just a minute to let you know that we will be going to Honduras for our second High School graduation. It is such a tremendous blessing to see these precious young people graduating. They come from such poverty yet with a desire to do better and have a better life. Thanks to many of you, they now have that chance. With this high school diploma they can get a job and help provide for their families. Thank you for giving to our school program, and our feeding program. I know that it blesses the heart of the Father when we take care of the less fortunate and feed His kids that would otherwise go without. Jesus said, “when you have done it to the least of these, you have done unto Me.” Matthew 25:40 Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus with these precious kids. I want each of you to know how much I appreciate and love you. I pray that one day we will all be neighbors in heaven and spend eternity loving Jesus.

Serving Him Joyfully,
Charlotte
