Newsletter - January 2018

Dear Daughters of Zion friends,

Once again, it is the time of the year when we start preparing to put our Honduras kids in school. A lot of the kids have now completed the 6th grade and are ready to go on to Jr. High and high school.

In Honduras, the government will pay for a child to go through the 6th grade, but if they want to go further, they have to pay for their schooling. These kids are so poor that they cannot pay to go on without help. Most of these kids live in the worst conditions imaginable; no electricity, dirt floors, and no running water; but even so, they have a heart to learn and a desire for a better life. They understand that getting an education will open doors for them and this gives them hope for a better future.

The school that we send them to is a Christian school where they not only get an education but the are being taught the Word of God. These precious kids are so grateful for the opportunity to go to school, and they work so hard to make good grades. But they need our help! So, I am asking you to prayerfully consider giving to the Educational Fund to enable a child to go to school. I cannot tell you what a blessing this will be for these precious kids. I know that it blesses the heart of the Father when we give to help those less fortunate, especially His children.

I pray that God will pour out His richest blessings on you this new year, and that you will prosper in all that you put your hand to. We love and appreciate you!!

Serving Him Joyfully,
Charlotte
