Dear Daughters of Zion friends,

I pray you are having a season of Spring Blessings!

I love this time of the year when we see God's beauty coming into full bloom in a very special way. I especially love sitting out on my patio watching all of God's little creations, busy scurrying around chirping loudly as if they are praising the Lord with their own melodious sounds. It makes me feel so very close to the Lord and so very blessed to witness.

Recently, I began to watch a little bird's nest that was made in one of my larger flowerpots. The Lord began speaking and revealing to me as I watched the activity in the little nest. At first, I carefully examined the nest and saw three newborn baby birds, chirping loudly. As I continued to watch daily, I could see the momma and daddy birds flying regularly and feverishly around the little nest with food to feed the little ones. Day in and day out, rain or shine, they fed and nourished those babies. Protecting them from the world around them. After many days, the little birds began to grow and get bigger. Things got crowded in their little nest, even looking uncomfortable. Finally, they left the nest. They found their wings and their new life had begun. They began fending for themselves. In the distance, I could see that momma and daddy birds were still flying close by just to make sure that the baby birds were still doing ok.

The Lord began to speak to my spirit, revealing His children are like these birds. When they are first born again, He provides for them, nourishing, protecting, and teaching them that He is their source. (Matt. 6:26) As they grow from babies to mature children, ready to face the world, He makes their nest and their lives, a little uncomfortable to encourage them to leave their nest and start on their own journey, using the knowledge and training that they received through the Word while in the nest. It is now time for them to leave the nest and help other babies on their journeys. To teach and help those new baby Christians just as they were taught. God never intended us to just stay in the nest but rather, to get out, grow in the things of God and help others to reach their potential. (Matt. 10:8)

Each one of us are called to be disciples for Christ and allow Him to use us to advance the Kingdom of God. We are to be doers of the Word and not just a hearer only. (James 1:22) Then on that day, we will hear our Father say “Well done good and faithful servant, you have done well, enter into the joy of the Lord.” (Matt 25:23) What a glorious day that will be!

My prayer for each of you is that you remain strong in the Lord and continue to allow Him to use you for His Glory. We are called for such a time as this!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping DOZ do what God has called us to do. We want to share Jesus with a lost and dying world and to help the widows and orphans in their time of need. Great will be the reward.
