Our Vision

Several years ago in my prayer time, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and told me to "Bring all of His daughters together, and He would come in GREAT power". He said that he wanted to pour out on His daughters refreshing, strength and encouragement. He said that they were hungry and thirsty and He wanted to fill them up. As I prayed, I told the Lord that Ladies' Ministries were already doing that in a great way with their retreats and He said, "ALL my daughters from ALL OVER." At that I knew what He was saying. He was telling me that I was to bring all of His daughters from the different churches and all over this area and beyond. He wanted there to be a coming together. As I sat and listened, I knew exactly what my Father was saying and what He wanted. I was reminded that His church doesn't have four walls. We are all His Church. He wants unity among His body, not separations. So, I asked Him to show me how I was to do this and the idea came to start with ladies retreats. Since I had been equipped for 11 years to do that, it just seemed like a natural thing to do...and so it began.

God was birthing a new ministry and I was excited as I saw it unfolding before my eyes. I asked God what I was to call the ministry and I heard "Daughters of Zion". As I researched that, I found that Zion is the place where God dwells and we are His daughters that want to dwell with Him, so we truly are the Daughters of Zion.

Our first retreat was in November 2001 and God did exactly what He said that He was going to do. He came in GREAT POWER and we saw women from all over the area and different churches set free, delivered, healed and saved. We truly experienced a mighty move of God, and it was only the beginning!!! I know that as we draw close to the last days, God is wanting His Church, His Body, to come together in unity and as one because we are going to need each other in the last days.

I also have a burden for the women in other Third World countries. Most of them are considered to have little value, and in their own eyes they feel unworthy. In God's eyes they are of great value and worth and we need to take the Good News to them knowing that God's Word will set them free and enable them to live a victorious life. And sometimes, He uses women to get the job done, Amen?

I love the Lord with all my heart and my soul purpose is to follow Him and be obedient to what He is calling me to do. As I walk, focused on the road ahead, I will trust Him as I know he is directing my steps. I am confident that He will open and close doors for me and that the Daughters of Zion Ministries will be all that God is calling us to be. Jesus said, "Do you love me? Feed my sheep." Lord help us as we try to feed Your sheep and reach a lost and dying world.

God Bless You,

Charlotte Parkhurst
